Based in Shanghai, Dr. Liu has extensive operating experience in the technology industry. In the early 1990s, he was one of the first technology entrepreneurs to return to China from overseas, and was one of the three original founders of AsiaInfo Holdings Inc. (“AsiaInfo”), the leading software and system integration service provider for the telecommunications industry in China. In his role as Senior Vice President and COO, Dr. Liu lead the company’s expansion from three to 400 employees; raised operating profits from USD100,000 to US$ 40 million, and successfully attracted funding from leading foreign venture capitalists. AsiaInfo was subsequently one of the first Chinese companies to be listed on the NASDAQ. Dr. Liu is currently the Chairman and CEO of Primeton Technologies, an enterprise application software development company based in Shanghai, China.
